I GOT A NEW ONE!!

Clarification..Molly's birthday is the 11th but her birthday party is Saturday the 12th..I got a new computer!! It's so nice...my husband took me to buy it yesterday and I was able to pick it up today..considering I have a care plan due on Tuesday I am so excited I don't have to go to the school and type anymore...some of you may be scratching your heads right now and wondering why I couldn't type at home..we'll we have programs from the 80's I swear and I couldn't get into my school programs at all..so welcome to the 21st century Annette!!

HaPpY BIrThdAy...

Happy Birthday Molly!! I can't believe it but Molly turns OnE on July 11, 2008...so I won't be able to get all my invitations out in time for everyone to make plans..but we are having a water party at my mom's starting at 2:00pm...we rented some fun slides, slip 'n' slide, water balloons and of course a kiddy pool...having cupcakes and treats then off to the Bee's game that starts at 6:00pm...for dinner, drinks, and always..NAchO's...we want everyone to come!! It can be done...

So big news this week! I got a 96% on my first care plan...I would try and explain what one is but I don't want to bore anyone but I would easily say I spent 12 hours on this one...only THREE more times in clinical and this semester is over!! Onto OB and Med Surg..I wonder if next semester will be good birth control or make me want a baby even more...

ToWn DaYS...

My sister and I rode our bikes over to the Bluffdale Parade the other weekend..it was so fun..last year I was 9 months pregnant and begging my doctor to let me have a 4th of July baby!! We'll that didn't happen but this year was much more enjoyable...Molly seemed to like it that anry look she has is most of the pictures is hilarious..she has such a personality..Riverton Town Days are going on for a whole week until the 4th..they have City of Fun Carnival set up and let me tell you it is oh so much fun!!

My First Day..

We'll I have officially been a Student Nurse for 8 hours...yesterday was my first day at my clinical site at lets just say it was...oh...so emotionally draining..what I thought would be horrible was not and what I thought I was going to do..I didn't..and what I learned was not even close to what I did...as I walked the hall that I was assigned to I thought to myself of life and how we begin...how I am so proud of the simple things that Molly does..and how one day she may end up in a long term care facility and quite frankly end up sitting in a wheel chair staring at the floor until some cute student nurse (that would be me..) comes to take her for lunch...who decided that this is how a life should end...and the room that I knocked on the door only to see boxes of clothes and personal belongings being thrown away and maintenance telling me that this gentlemen had no one...no one to give his personal belongings too...so at lunch I sat there with no appetite and thought maybe this isn't what I want to do...maybe emotionally I will not be able to do this...I know it was my first day and not everyone has the heart to work in long term care...besides all the homework, care plans, and then a test next week oh and the baby that just pooped all the way up her back and then yeah the husband that comes home every other day...maybe I can do this!! Maybe I am just the person to do this...(thanks for pep talk..nett)...

To all the FIRST father's day...

We had a lot of fun today..Bart actually woke up next to me today after being gone for three days...Molly gave Bart a card this morning...(she signed it and everything!) and momma's gave him some feet rests for his highway bars...for his motorcycle. We delivered all our Father's Day presents and then came home and had a BBQ...one of Bart's sisters came, his parents, and my parents..it was really fun...Summer is here and that means one thing!! Town Days...Rodeos..and Carnivals...Bart's brother-in-law is a PRCA Rodeo Clown..so we attempt to make it to all his rodeos..this year he is finishing his Master's so he is only in a few..but we will be making it to them...Bluffdale Town Days are this weekend and Bart's parents are the Grand Marshalls...which means Molly will be too...hopefully this warm weather will be bringing us all together..Molly's Birthday is July 11 but we will be celebrating it the 12th we are going to have a BBQ at my parents and then off to a Bee's game that night..all are welcome and all will be receiving a invite...the best part is..it's on us!!
