I have been domesticated...I have found in the last couple years that I love to cook...this was the first time that I have attempted to make a pie and it turned out pretty good if I do say so myself..to anyone that had a piece I think that they would agree....
This may not look like anything to anyone but this means a lot to Bart and I...this is our lot that we own in Bluffdale where our future home will be...we have been given a little over an acre and half by Bart's parents...all the kids were given property to build but everyone has declined and chosen other options but Bart and I have chose to build....we have been talking about the plans lately and might..(I'm crossing my fingers) start building sooner than we thought...I know we are so lucky to have been given this opportunity and owe a lot to my in-laws..Bart's dad always tells us that he worked hard and did what he did to be able to give this to his kids...I am hoping that we will be able to give half of what we have been given to our children....so if my in-laws ever get a chance to read this I thank you for the house that I live in now and for the one that I will be living in hopefully soon!!
We celebrated Christmas at Bart's parents house this Saturday...it's so fun to get together with all the cousins sense we all live pretty far apart from each other...the three babies together were all born this year just months apart from each other...it's weird to think that they will all be in the same grade...I swear Molly looks so much older than she really is...
Santa was able to find our house and sure left a lot of fun toys for Molly..she got the princess castle and goldy locks weeble wobbles...I gave her some stroller toys and books...Bart bought her a Cricket 22 Rifle...yes I did say a 22 Rifle..we are having her name engraved on the side...Grandma and Pappa's Moser gave us an outfit and stuffed animals...and Grandpa and Grandma Barton gave us a Disney Princess tricycle and started out Disney DVD collection....we were spoiled to no end and had so much fun spending all that time with family...
For the last couple weeks Molly has been so enthused with Cooter our wiener dog...if he is in the room nothing else or no one else matters...She sucks in air when he walks in the room and starts talking to him...sense we brought Molly home he has been really protective of her but I have made sure that he doesn't get to close...now that I want him to get close to her and snuggle with her...he won't..he is super timid and stares at me the whole time...their cute together when he'll let her touch him...
We'll surgery went well...what was to be a 45 minute surgery turned into a 2 hour surgery...the doctor came out and told me that there was a little more scar tissue than he expected...they cut his finger from the front and the back..along with his palm and into his wrist...I was a little worried on how he would be coming out of anesthesia..but he did really good and was super pleasant...so Molly and I are just hanging out taking care of dad..it's so cute..Bart is bummed that he can't pick Molly up, so we just lay by dad in the chair...
We went to see the lights at Temple Square tonight with our best friends Chris and Wendy...it ended being a Jazz game tonight..so it was a pain getting down town..lots and lots of people...Bart has a hard time with crowds of people always thinking were going to catch staff infection or something...haha...we tucked Molly in tight and barged the crowd with the stroller...I forgot how pretty it is down there with all the lights....if Molly wasn't crying at the end we would have stayed longer...We have dubbed Chris and Wendy as Molly's godparents...and I just know they love her to death!! It's nice to have as good as friends as them to hang out with...
This hardly shows how cute this situation really is but Molly has been playing with this baby lately it also had a green binky that sticks in her mouth..she will hold onto the babies binky while sucking hers..or just hold a hand of the baby and talk to her...motherly instincts already...
We just had a little bit more of shopping...but Molly was hungry now!! Nothing like a shark gummy to tie me over...all the way to fins..no big deal...
Can never be to careful....Molly I swear has been talking like this sense she was born..she has a lot to say and wants to make sure we all hear her. She was talking to our neighbor across the street that was cleaning up his yard..everytime he would walk away she would stop and then begin when he would come back...oh the simplest things in life..
Merry Christmas...here at the Barker residence we don't really like celebrating Christmas...I think that it has a lot to do with both being the youngest in our families and I know most of mine has to be working retail for seven years..so this is our tree and our presents sit on the floor...we have decided that Molly gets three presents..(cause Jesus only got three presents) and to teach Molly the true meaning of Christmas...what is that you ask?? We'll to me it is a time to be spent with family and being kind to others...not giving presents and spoiling those that do not need all there given...and always to remember the death (birth..duh Annette) of Jesus...so in the light of all this we have a small tree...only to remind us of what is truly important this time of year..scrooge..you say??..maybe...
Seeming as how we just celebrated the weekend of Thanks..I would like to tell everyone what I am thankful for...my HuSBand...I just know I wouldn't be where I am today without Bart..some of you may not know but Bart and I have been dancing around each other off and on for six years!! Without him I know the last six years of my life wouldn't have gone as smoothly as it did...my FaMILy...I love my family...I believe that my parents gave me a life to be proud of and I feell like I have never went without...they raised us kids the best they knew how and lead by such a great example and I thank them for that!!...my SiSTER..my true best friend...someone that I can talk to five times a day and still feel like I have more to tell...someone to vent to..cry with..but mostly someone to join in poking fun at others!!...my NIEces and NEPhewS...my new IN LaW FaMILY....having a second pair of parents that love me as one of there own and inheriting three new..fun...loving...sisters!!..but I am truly thankful for my little ray of sunshine MOlly AnN...saturday night Molly got sick..she just couldn't keep anything down..around midnight I followed my gut feeling and took her to the the emergency room...watching her face as they tried twice to put an IV in was heart breaking but I just couldn't watch her throw up on more time...without Molly I just don't know what I would be doing right now... I truly know now what it means and feels like to put someones elses happiness before yours...I love you MOlly!!
This is my first sewing project!! This is a blanket for baby Tate..so Whitney if you see this, this is your surprise...I usually will start something but I won't finish it because it's not straight or not perfect...this isn't the best sewing job but that just makes it extra special...Jessica, Addie's is next...
The other night Bart was eating some Doritos and Molly watched intensely as he ate as he would finish chewing she would go back to playing but watch him so closely everytime he picked up another chip ...the other night she was playing on her belly and talking when I came into the room with some pizza she watched so closely as I picked a piece off the plate (a piece..yes there was more than one on the plate!!) and ate it..I moved a piece close to her mouth and she started screaming and kicking her legs so fast...the next day I bought some sweet potatoes baby food, I couldn't feed her fast enough..this was right before bath time so I wasn't to careful with getting it everywhere...she is so small but yet so big!!
