THe HoT dOG thRoWer...
A little background to this story...my sophomore and junior year of high school two periods a day I would aide for the Special Ed class...so working in that class for two years all the kids had come to know me well...one of the boys that was in the class works at Petersen's and we always chat when we run into eachother....So the other day I dragged Bart to Wal-Mart to shop with me and we ran into one of my good friends..as we were standing there talking....this same boy walked past us and said...Austin: "Oh hi Annette!"
me: "Hey, Austin..you work here too.."
Austin: "Yup, and the movie theaters.."
me: "Oh wow!.."
Austine: (looking at Bart) "You married him!!"
me: "Yes, I did.."
Austin: "Oh, does he throw hot dogs at you too?"
me: (mortified!!) "Yes..all the time!"
Austin: "Oh." (as he walks away..)
I looked over at Bart..completely embarrassed that my friend Amy was standing there for the whole conversation...
me: "Did you throw hot dogs at him?!?"
Bart: (embarrassed) "I honestly don't remember doing that?"
me: "One, people like that don't forget things..and two, that sounds like something you would do!"
Brother...I am glad that my husband is known as the hot dog thrower to the special ed class..great!! I swear my husband is inappropriate oh let's say 95% of the time..I guess that's why I LOVE him so much...
I am thinking...
So I was thinking the other day while cleaning out Molly's closet and packing up yet another bin of clothes to store downstairs that maybe it is pointless to keep all her clothes..some have special meaning..and some I just LOVE..but what about all the other stuff...I have spent alot of money on them..so I don't necessarily want to give them away..or sell them for super cheap..what do you think I should do??

Servers...
I took this straight from my sister-in-laws blog..she is a server and I completley agree..and let's be honest everyone should be tipping 20% these days....
Serving
I have worked a lot this weekend and have made some observations. Some I have noticed before, others just recently. Talking to my fellow servers, I think it important to note some dining out etiquette.
1. Standard tip should be a minimum of 15%, if your server does a good job, tip them more. 20% lets them know that your dining experience was a good one.
2. If you have teenagers, that are eating out without you there, they should know about rule number one.
3. If your food did not meet your satisfaction, you should tell your server about it, so they can get you something else, or try and fix it for you. If the server stops by your table and you say that your food is fine, then don't leave them a note on the credit card slip that it did not meet your expectations.
4. Don't punish your server because the food, was not cooked rare enough, well enough or somewhere in between, we don't cook the food. However, we can take it back and make them do it again. Which we will gladly do if you tell us about it (refer to #3).
5. If you come to a restaurant to eat, expect to talk to people, namely your server. Don't ignore them when they come to the table or tell them that they are bothering you. YOU sat down at the table to be served, expect some communication.
6. If you have toddler children with you, just because you are in a restaurant, doesn't give you a right to throw food on the floor and then walk on it when you leave.
7. If you eat out, expect to add a tip to the total, don't rack up the bill and then not tip accordingly because you don't have enough money.
8. Remember, that most servers like the job they have, including me, next to Cinnabon, I love my job! However, I work for $2.13 and hour and tips make or break my shift.
9. Servers enjoy being treated like a person, we can make your dining experience enjoyable if you give us the chance.
10. If you eat our regularly, or if you have a server that you like, ask for them, it is a compliment that you would want them as your server again. And if you have one of those annoying but informative surveys on your receipt, take it, mention your servers name, tell the higher ups that we did a good job. We get rewarded for those things, and most of the time you get free food when you come back.
Alright, it was meant to be informative, not a rant, but it probably came across as both. But, if you learned something pass it on. Happy Dining :)!!!!

oNe of the SWEET nEcTaRS of LIFE....

Those of you who know me well will find this post a little silly...oh ever sense the beginning of time I have had sinus infections I swear once a month..some how I came across some afrin to clear my nose out and I found one of the sweetest nectar's of life (along with Dr.Pepper..) we'll if any of you know you are not suppose to use afrin more than three days in a row because your nose can get used to it and fill up on purpose because it knows your going to spray the sweet..sweet nectar up there...we'll that's nice and all but I use it everyday all day at least 20 times a day when I have a cold..(and sometimes even when I don't have a cold...) it has gotten to the point that when I drop it in my nose (because I won't spray it in..that's barbaric..Kiersten) as soon as I'm done I have to pinch my nose because of this sweet burning sensation almost as if I have singed my nose hairs...after unpinching the nose I have to check for bleeding (because that has happened before..) But within seconds I am breathing like a champ!! Along with the sinus infections my right eye always plugs up, swells shut and oozes this green stuff...which will seal it shut at night..(pretty huh..) so in my family we have come up with the saying..oh you have Quasimodo eye again?? My niece as we speak has had her first run in with Quasimodo eye..welcome to the club Kitty..Molly and I both have stuffy noses, I can't wait until she can appreciate the sweet burn of Afrin like her mom....goodnight...Saturday, September 13, 2008

Sleep Blogging...
I'm sleep blogging I am so tired on the verge of tears and can't seem to stop looking on the internet. I have just hit send on my first care plan for the semester and I do not feel good about it. I have been at St. Mark's for the past two weeks and have felt as though I just stood around for the entire 12 hour shifts. My care plan was due at 6pm tonight and yes it is not 12:15am...I can't believe that I turned an assignment in late..Bart and I went to Logan today to see the new edition to the Barton Family and you would have thought we were in a different world up there..no where could I find Internet and when I did find it I had to pay and when I went to pay their server was down..go figure..a college town!! Brother..so I finally quit trying and enjoyed the company of family. Early pregnancy tests suck..I have taken three and there is a definite no mark and a squiggly mark on the yes..or just a speck of hope...but alas I am learning patients and just waiting..after Bart saw our new nephew today..he said I don't know I am on the fence..see he wants another too...we have been unofficially trying for the last six months and each month my heart is broken over and over...I swear I sneezed and got pregnant with Molly..it's so frustrating..it's nothing like trying for years and I am thankful for my sweet pumpkin but momma wants to smell the new baby smell again...I need to go to bed..I have a huge test on Monday and I need to prepare to study all day tomorrow...good night.
